NAVHDA NB - Training Day - June 1

We offer the opportunity to learn firsthand the various steps involved in training the versatile hunting dog. NAVHDA training includes: pointing; steadiness to wing, shot, and fall; retrieval to hand from land or water; game tracking; gun sensitivity control; heeling; and backing or honouring another dog’s point. As a group we strive to achieve the best for you and your dog, no matter what level of experience or breed. Our common goal is for every member to broaden their experience and hunting pleasure through greater canine performance and collaboration with your dog.  Guest trainer will be Bob Little.

NAVHDA International The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to foster, improve, promote, and protect the versatile hunting dog in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging non-selective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs. We receive much needed support from a variety of sponsors and conservation partners who are critical to the continued operation and growth of NAVHDA.
